Coffin Island

We arrived at Isla Casa de Muertos for breakfast. We are the only boat here. There is a ranger station, a large dock and free moorings; other than that, the island is in its natural state. There is a lighthouse high on a "mountain" in the middle of the island. The light was built by the Spanish before PR was taken over by the US....it is obviously turn of the century (19th) Spanish architecture. The three of us plan on hiking up the mountain to check it out....should provide great pictures.

Very warm morning....should be great swimming here, as the water is very clear...good to be away from the waters of Ponce and on the move again !! Mike is smiling ear to ear. Great first stop for his vacation....
